Man indicted for shooting at vehicle, seriously injuring 1 in Dayton

A grand jury indicted a man who is accused of a shooting at a vehicle in Dayton, resulting in serious injuries to a person.

Devin Lamar Rogers, 21, is facing three counts of felonious assault and one count of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 4.

On Jan. 20, Dayton police were called to a shooting around 8:15 p.m.

“The victim, a 20-year-old female, was transported to an area hospital via private conveyance and has a life-threatening injury,” said Lt. Steven Bauer. “Officers were able to determine the shooting occurred in the 300 block of Oxford Avenue.”

Rogers reportedly shot at a vehicle with two people inside on Oxford Avenue, according to Dayton Municipal Court records.

One person was seriously injured and the other was at risk of serious harm, an affidavit read.

Rogers was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. His bond was previously set at $250,000 in municipal court.
